Victory
Victory is at hand! Both the Landmarks Commission and the NYC City Council have approved the creation of the Lamartine Place Historic District!

A 19th Cen Oasis on W29th & W30th Streets!
Chronicles Manhattans' "Lamartine Blocks": West 29th Street & West 30th street, between 8th & 9th Avenues, located at the northern fringes of the Chelsea neighborhood. This Blog advocates protection and preservation for this 2 block oasis, hopefully as an historic district. This Blog also enthusiastically supports the individual landmarking of 339 West 29 Street, the-former home of the crusading abolitionist, activist, Hopper-Gibbons family.
